This Vintage Turkish Tulu Rug is handcrafted in the Konya region of Central Turkey using Angora wool on a wool kilim foundation. Measuring 4'6" x 4'8", the Tulu, which translates to "Hairy", is made with luxurious and soft Angora hair on handwoven kilims. Originally used as blankets and mattresses by nomadic tribes in central Asia to stay warm on the high plains of the Anatolian plateau, these Tulus have evolved into tribal works of art with bold geometric designs and saturated colors. A must-have accent piece for any contemporary space.
