This vintage Turkish Oushak rug, measuring 5'4" x 8'4", is handwoven with wool on a wool foundation in the Oushak region of Western Turkey. Originating from the Anatolian plateau, the birthplace of oriental rug weaving, each village developed distinctive designs and color palettes rarely replicated by neighboring communities. These antique rugs, often depicted in historical European art, are prized for their bold geometric patterns and muted tones, making them highly sought after by interior designers.
