Before "Louis Vuitton" came along to replace these saddle bags when de designed his luggage collection. Throughout history Saddle Bags were used as a horseback travelers luggage. These handwoven ones are made in a dual technik of weaving the kilim base first, and then hand embordering the design on the kilim foundation.
